1. Show Off Your Flaws (And Solutions)

When hiring a coach or consultant, people and organizations value those who have “been there” and found solutions for their problems. Talking about your flaws and weakness helps others see themselves in you and creates a connecting thread between the two of you. But the deepest attractions come when you share insights on how you fixed the problem. – Stacey Staaterman, Stacey Staaterman Coaching & Consulting

2. Send Personal Letters To Potential Clients

A tool that has proven to be successful is sending personal letters. Usually, the letter is accompanied by an article from a magazine, a picture of something interesting or a gift. Personal letters are often overlooked today. When a person takes time to write and send a personal note, it usually gets noticed. This small act of a personal touch shows the specific interest in the client. – Ken Gosnell, CEO Experience

3. Tell Your Story Through Instagram

One of the most creative ways you can build your clientele is through the expression of yourself on Instagram. Turning your life into a story through honest, transparent expression is a magnet for clients, building an audience and legacy. By universal laws, pairing pictures and words with deep meaning and truth means your soul purpose will shine. Your vision and philosophy need to be heard and seen. – Crystal Schreiner, Beauty Everywhere

4. Get Involved In Their Community

There is nothing like understanding your clients’ needs and challenges while building relationships. Understand where your clients spend their time, and get involved building long-term relationships. Show up to events regularly, have coffee meetings with people to get to know them, and volunteer on boards and committees to share your knowledge. The rest will follow. – Jenn Lofgren, Incito Executive & Leadership Development

5. Become A Resource

Potential clients are people who have complex needs, both personal and professional. Seek to understand the biggest needs, challenges or struggles they are confronting. Determine if you can provide value in a specific area by offering a solution, tip or connection. Becoming a resource means you help someone address a challenge, fix a problem or meet a need. At that point, you’re unforgettable. – Lori Manns, Quality Media Consultant Group

6. Invite Potential Clients To Participate In Your Videos Or Podcasts

Creating a high-quality podcast show, YouTube channel or Facebook Live series focused on topics that your targeted clientele cares about. Invite them to be a guest on your show. This helps you instantly build relationships and credibility while gaining visibility to know more about their key needs in a no pressure, no fuss way — not to mention, you will have a lot of fun. – Christie Lindor, The MECE Muse
